Remaster is the preset that treats video as a sequence, not a stack of stills. The engine job is temporal upscale to 4K: one pass that carries detail from frame to frame so fine texture holds steady instead of shimmering. That family is RealBasicVSR-style video super-resolution. Natural is the default detail mode; Crisp is the same job, sharper.
It needs an NVIDIA GPU, the optional GPU add-on pack when you request it, VSR weights, and about 12 GB of VRAM. The UI warns below that. Cards that cannot hold the recurrent graph still run Export Ready.
There is no Remaster+CUDA tile. CUDA is how Remaster runs. Without NVIDIA, Remaster is simply unavailable; denoise and per-frame upscale can still take ncnn or CPU paths.
We are not publishing side-by-side MOS scores in this post. The defensible facts are the recipe, the hardware gate, and that the clip never goes to a datacenter to finish the pass. Read Remaster for the operator checklist.
